Halloween Activities/Haunted House, Mississippi

October 26-27: Boo at the Zoo, 6PM-9PM; Jackson Zoo. The safest and largest Trick-or-Treat extravaganza around! October 26: Park After Dark, 6PM-8PM; Mississippi Children’s Museum, Lefleur’s Bluff State Park and Mississippi Natural Science Museum. Join Mississippi Children’s Museum (MCM) for safe, family Halloween fun! MCM is partnering with Mississippi Museum of Natural Science (MMNS) and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks for the first Park after Dark event Friday, October 26 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m at MCM, LeFleur’s Bluff State Park and MMNS. Admission is $6 per person regardless of museum membership.
Park after Dark is open to everyone in the community, and costumes for the entire family are encouraged. Check in for the joint event will be held at MCM, where families will begin their journey with spooky science and creepy arts and crafts in the museum. Visitors will then follow the “Trick-or-Treat Trail” through LeFleur’s Bluff State Park, where they can participate in “trunk-or-treats” and carnival fun provided by community partners. The fun continues at the natural science museum. Creepy critters and haunting halls are just some of the tricks up their sleeve.
The first 100 children that check in to the event dressed in their Halloween costume will receive a ticket to Disney On Ice presents Treasure Trove! Click for more info
October 31: Kids Night Out- Halloween Alternative, 5:30-8:30; Liberty Park (behind the Flowood YMCA). Fun for the whole family! Space jumps, petting zoo, train rides, face painting, food, entertainment and more. FREE!Click for more info.

  1. Halloween is my favorite time of year. I love getting scared, I always have. I must go on at least 3 different haunted hayrides a year. I can't wait until my niece gets old enough to go with me. She has the best laugh and she cracks up every time she gets scared, its funny.
